How to use Github

Github is the place we store and manange the code for the LocalGov Drupal project. We also use it to write this documentation, manage bugs and feature requests and run automated tests.

Unless you are contributing code or documentation the main thing you might want to do is log and comment on issues in the issue queues.

How to create an issue

1. On GitHub, navigate to the main page of the repository.
2. Under your repository name, click Issues. Localgovdrupal/localgov issue queue (opens new window)
3. Click New issue.
4. If your repository uses issue templates, click Get started next to the type of issue you'd like to open. Or, click Open a blank issue if the type of issue you'd like to open isn't included in the available options.
5. Type a title and description for your issue.
6. If you're a project maintainer, you can assign the issue to someone, add it to a project board, associate it with a milestone, or apply a label.
7. When you're finished, click Submit new issue.
